How long does it take to get to the first page of Google? How much does SEO cost? Do we also have guarantees that we will achieve the desired placements?
For transparency and because we want all customers to have a correct horizon of expectations, we give some very, very simplified and (somewhat) generally valid answers:
If you don’t have a competitive niche, a well-made site from the start already has a considerable advantage (well-made = relevant content properly structured on the page and in the site, correct meta, technical SEO, topics covered extensively with sufficient number of words and relevant keywords and ditto) and you do the indexing correctly – > after the first month you see increased traffic from 20% – 50%.
If you have a decent PBN budget plus some strong links and you don’t have a competitive niche and you’re also happy with key phrases or longtail: + 2-3 months and you’ve grown nicely.
If you have a slightly more difficult niche but you have solved point 1 above + you have a good SEO specialist + you have allocated a budget to come back to On page to adjust as many times as necessary (including changes to the site, new pages, new modules if necessary ) + you do link building with third-party sites with authority: + 4-6 months you are already good.
*I remind you, G.B.Shaw said that “All generalizations are nonsense, including this one” 🙂 So we take everything I wrote above as guidelines in no way as rules written in stone.
Like many other endeavors in digital marketing, SEO is a process and you have to trust the process, give it time + resources to generate the best results.
What is NOT SEO:
– It is not a program, an application, a platform where we put some ticks —> it is a set of tactics based on experience, best practices, trial and error and with analytical information generated & validated by specific tools.
– It is not a fixed, identical recipe for every type of website of every business.
What SEO is and can be if done well, in random order:
Online PR
That is, “reputation management”. It helps you to have control over your image online, to make sure that it comes across as it should.
Bonus tip: we always include the Social Media part in this. Why: firstly because it makes sense for the general approach (you have to do well everywhere, online) and secondly because there are platforms that are indexed by Google and you can gain positions (e.g. LinkedIn, Flickr, YouTube).
- Lead generation
Yes, even if they are not paid campaigns.
How we do it: we optimize conversion pages (among others) and according to “user intent”. Even if you have a site with several services or products, we focus on that x keyword for which we expect traffic. Then, once the user arrives on the site – the lead capture process is the same as in the case of a paid campaign.
- Awareness
Here it is worth mentioning a more traditional model of “press releases”, more generalist content marketing. The goal in this endeavor is not to lead the audience to a certain funnel, but to have as much exposure as you can.
- Coherent branding
Similar to the mention in point 1 – almost everything we do is part of a series of strategic actions. You acquire a unitary “digital footprint” over time, and this attracts many benefits over time: brand credibility, visibility compared to the competition, positioning in the “top of mind” choice through permanent presence.
- Traffic share taken from the competition
You have your “right”, similar to Google Ads, to a slice of the SERP (search engine results page) pie. If you don’t take your slice, someone else will.
- Improving the conversion rate
By targeting relevant keywords and improving the user experience on the site, SEO can help convert visitors into customers, thereby increasing the conversion rate.
- Reduced marketing costs
Once your site gets a strong ranking, you don’t need to pay for each click as you do in paid advertising campaigns, which reduces overall marketing costs.
- Access to Data and Metrics
SEO provides access to valuable data, such as the search terms used by visitors to reach your site, which can be used to refine marketing and product strategies.
- Increasing access to new markets
Once your site is optimized and starts attracting quality traffic, you can explore opportunities in new markets. SEO can be a first step in internationalizing your business, opening doors to global audiences that would otherwise be hard to reach.
